Frequently Asked Questions

+ What is included in the price?

Our standard inclusions are a fixed speed pump, cartridge filter, automatic chlorinator and skimmer box. Additional items will vary the pricing.

+ How much deposit do I put down?

A 25% deposit is required to lock in the pricing. To allocate your pool into our production schedule, an additional 50% deposit is required (a total of 75%).

+ Aside from the pool, what else may I have to pay for?

You will need to organise an electrician to connect power to the pool. Beyond this, additional costs may include site specific requirements such as crane, building costs, engineering, transport, permitting or finishings.

+ How long does the pool take to make?

Our current demand is very high in th US and that tends to push out the completion dates. All orders are on a first-in basis and we allocate a manufacturing slot when we receive your production deposit (75% of the total pool cost). We are currently taking orders for delivery in Spring/Summer 2024.

+ How deep are your pools?

Our pools are approximately 4.25' deep in the swim space.

+ Where do you deliver?

We manufacture and deliver pools are all over the world! We are proudly headquartered in Brisbane, Australia and have manufacturing partners all over the world! We recently launched in the US for 2024 deliveries.

+ What should I build my pool on?

We recommend that you place your pool on an engineered concrete slab, footers or steel frame. Your builder will be able to organise, engineer and design the best option for your site. The options are endless. For a mild slope, you could excavate and retain a section to create a level area suitable for a concrete slab or footer base. For a significant slope or elevated position, or to meet an existing deck height, perhaps a steel support frame is the ideal option. Whatever your situation, your builder can help you find the best solution for your needs.

+ Can it go in the ground?

We recommend your pool remain above ground as it is designed to be. However, if you have a mildly sloping location in mind it’s possible to excavate down to level and place your pool on a concrete slab. A retaining wall will be necessary to keep damp soil away from the pool exterior.

+ Can the pool shape or size be modified?

Unfortunately no, because our custom fibreglass shells are designed specifically to match standard shipping container dimensions. Having a standard configuration allows us to keep the costs down for you.

+ Does the metal from the container cause the pool to become hot

No, it does not affect the temperature as fibreglass itself is very insulating. If the pool is in full sun during the summer, the water will heat up regardless of the metal container. We offer an optional heat/chill electric pump that will cool the water to your desired temperature for hotter climates, and warm the water during colder periods. In addition, we can also include insulation to the fiberglass shell in an effort to reduce the heat transfer. Ask your sales associate for me details.

+ Can the outside of the container be clad with weatherboards or other cladding?

Yes, you can clad the outside of the container, as we do not offer this. However, you cannot screw or mechanically connect any decking or paneling to the shipping container walls. Doing so will void the warranty. Ask your sales associate for me details.

+ What is our decking made from?

The decking is hand-made and styled from real oak timbers, creating an incredibly realistic look that captures the natural beauty of wood. The decking is made from a revolutionary Polyurethane resin, reinforced with mineral fibres plus a unique Lastane® coating. It maintains the rigidity & longevity of plastic, with the suppleness of rubber. This makes it feel much more natural underfoot, while still offering incredible durability.

+ Should I add a pool cover?

Most of our customers do! A cover can reduce evaporation and chemical loss in your pool. It also helps to moderate the pools temperature in the cooler seasons and hot summers. We will be offering pool covers very soon!

+ Do you have any heating/cooling options?

We sure do! We offer a swimming pool heat/chill electric pumps as well as 275BTU duel fuel gas heaters (heaters can run on either propane or natural gas without conversion kits). The units we supply are exceptionally energy-efficient. All heaters in the US need to be installed outside of the equipment compartment. Ask your sales associate for me details.

+ What pool lights do you offer?

We offer the options of either one or two multicolour LED pool lights. One light is sufficient for a 20' pool, and two lights work best in a 40' pool.

+ Should I add a pool cleaner?

Adding a pool cleaner will reduce the time spent cleaning and maintaining your pool. We recommend a fully robotic pool cleaner over a vacuum-powered cleaner. The robotic pool cleaner we supply as an option is fully programmable and offers a superior level of cleaning, scrubbing, and vacuuming all the way to the water line. Ask your sales associate for me details.

+ Do you do installations?

No, we do not. As the manufacturer, we work with owners, builders and project managers to ensure the success of your project. Many of our clients prefer to outsource the details to a qualified builder or local pool company. We work with a US team to help you find a qualified pool company in your local area. Ask your sales associate for me details.

+ How do I get my pool to my location?

Once the truck pulls up to your location, you will need to unload the pool at your site when it arrives. Typically, they are lifted by crane from the truck to your pool’s permanent location.

+ Do I need permitting?

Documentation differs from state to state, and county to county. Utilize a preferred pool company to help you through this process. Ask your sales associate for me details.

+ Do I need a crane?

A crane is not needed for every installation. In some situations, an excavator or a "lull" can carry a 20' pool to it's final location. A 40' typically needs a crane to set it in place based on the load and the length. Local crane operators will visit your site beforehand to determine the specific crane and lift details, and have everything set up for you when the truck brings your pool to your location.

+ Can I do my own decking?

Yes, of course! We just supply the pool. Please let us know so that we can work with your builder to ensure the heights of decking, concrete slabs or supporting steel frame, etc are correct. We’ll work with you to get it all perfect!

+ What electrical supply do I need to organise?

Your electrician needs to supply a single 240V 40A circuit to power the our equipment setup. If you are adding an eletric heater your electrician will need higher amps dedicated to the pool or a seperate line ran to the heater. Your electrician will know how to power the pool based on your local codes.

+ What plumbing work needs to be organised?

Each Shipping Container Pool is supplied fully plumbed. You may also opt to divert the low point ball valve and heat pump condensate piping to stormwater but this is entirely up to you!
